In depth solvent based waterproof, formulated with 100% siloxane resins, anti-saltpetre. It protects the stone material for many years, it resists to UV rays and it does not yellow the treated surface.
HOW TO USE
Dilution : the product should not be diluted.
Application : Before applying LITHOS, the surface should be cleaned using the products
DETERGON R3, CLEAN SPECIAL or SANNY KAL. Once the surface is perfectly clean and dry, LITHOS can be applied using a flat brush or a roller; one or two coats should be applied uniformly, leaving 3-4 hours
between each one. If solvent-based products, such as: REP-OIL NEW, CTF-40, KEOS/928 or KERASTONE or the water-based product IDROBASE 303 have to be applied for the finishing oil repellent treatment, it is advisable to wait the following day and apply one or two coats of these products leaving 4-6 hours between each coat, according to the absorption capacity of the surface.
For application on vertical surfaces, the airless spraying system is recommended by dispensing the product in two hours away for a few hours on each other on dry surfaces and externally providing that it does not rain for at least 2 days its application.
The water-repellent product LITHOS should never be applied on surfaces directly exposed to sunlight or during the hottest hours of the day. Use a test sample to check for any colour changes to the materials to be treated.
LITHOS is suitable to be used on the back of the marble with any compatible cement based adhesive
having the following classifications: C2ES1; C2TES1; C2ES2; C2TES2.
Federchemicals strongly recommends that the stone supplier /contractor to check this compatibility with the adhesive manufacturer. Hence, this compatibility between the adhesive and our impregnator / sealer, lies SOLELY on the adhesive manufacturer’s confirmation.
Never apply LITHOS in the sun. Always make a small sample test on a surface to check for any color changes in the material.
Highly porous natural stone : Approx. 10 to 12 litres every 100 sq. m. per coat.
Natural stone with average porosity : Approx. 5 to 10 litres every 100 sq. m per coat
Cement : Approx. 12 to 15 litres every 100 sq. m per coat, according to the absorption capacity of the surface.
