HM 2

Description

HM2 has a special formulation which makes the surface water repellent while leaving its aesthetic characteristics and substrate transpirability unchanged. It can be applied on all masonry materials such as: gypsum, cement, lime, stone, bricks, roof tiles and agglomerates. It gives the surface an invisible protection and adds in durability and resistance against wear due to weather agents. It is a water repellent and prevents water from penetrating inside walls thus avoiding frost during winter and risk of damage and cracking. It prevents fluorescence and mould build-ups. It does not create a continuous film, but penetrates covering the inner surface of each pore.

HOW TO USE

HM2 can be applied with a normal large brush or sprayed (low pressure). Before applying the product, the surface must be cleaned of any efflorescence and moulds using SANNY KAL or CLEAN SPECIAL, depending on the masonry work to treat, then rinse. It is advised to apply the product after 1 or 2 days, when perfectly dry. HM2 is applied in one coat uniformly.

PRECAUTIONS

Apply HM2 only on cleaned cold and dry surfaces. It is advised to protect the treated surfaces from rain for 24 hours until the water repellent film is formed completely. If wrap-shrink films are used to pack materials treated with HM2 on pallets, make sure proper adequate aeration holes are provided to allow full water repellent action and complete drying. It is always recommended to test the material to treat for proper results.

Federchemicals products are suitable to be used on the back of the marble with any compatible cement based adhesive having the following classifications: C2ES1; C2TES1; C2ES2; C2TES2.

Federchemicals strongly recommends that the stone supplier / contractor to check this compatibility with the adhesive manufacturer. Hence, this compatibility between the adhesive and our impregnator / sealer, lies SOLELY on the adhesive manufacturer’s confirmation. Do not apply the product in areas with strong chlorine or aluminous cement substrates.
